Badger Sports Park made two large investments recently that upped its game.

It added a new virtual reality attraction and did a complete make-over of its laser tag arena.

The family activity park is at 3600 E. Evergreen Drive in Appleton.

The new $100,000 Holgate Virtual Reality arena opened on Monday.

It’s a four-player virtual reality simulator with separate game modes for kids and adults.

Cost: $8 per play for five minutes, or four plays for $25. No reservations necessary.

The park also recently completed a $200,000 re-do of its Lasertron Lasertag Experience.

“We gutted the whole arena and everything is new. It has new game modes not offered before,” said co-owner Joe Van Abel. “We have new vests, hardware and software.”

Cost: $15 per player for 30 minutes, or available in packages. Takes up to 32 players at a time.
