These are six Fox Cities business scene changes that should be on your radar.

Opening

Tricia’s Treasures, a new gift and décor shop, will open Friday in the former Holt’s Jewelry store building at 121 W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Neenah. It’s an offshoot of Tricia’s Treasures & Bistro in Crandon and has a sister store in Rhinelander.

Here, owner Tricia Novak will have gifts, apparel, accessories and home decor, but won’t have the coffee shop or food service side.

Novak visited downtown Neenah years ago and put it on her wish list. “I think Neenah is the most charming little downtown. It’s just adorable,” Novak said.

In late December, everything fell in place when the Holt’s Neenah building became available. (Holt’s main store remains open in Wautoma).

Plus, Novak had a trusted friend ready to run the Neenah branch. “One of my girlfriends (Jennifer Sturzl) was manager at my Rhinelander location until her husband was transferred to Neenah,” Novak said. “Opportunity knocked and I opened the door.”

For more information, visit triciastreasuresandbistro.com, Tricia’s Treasures & Bistro page on Facebook or 920-215-6179. The store is closed on Sundays.

Closing

The Mill Boutique & Art Gallery at 425 W. Water St. in Appleton will close March 24 and is in the midst of its closing sale. The business is attached to the Atlas Waterfront Cafe.

“Closing of the boutique and gallery does not impact Atlas Waterfront Café and Gathering Room, where it is business as usual,” said co-owner Sue Bogenschutz. She has operated the connected businesses for more than 14 years.

“It’s time for a change,” she said. “There are some plans in the works for that space.”

Moved

Blaze Sports & Fitness will hold its grand opening with tours and an open house from 2-5 p.m. Saturday.

The faith-based fitness and sports training facility serves both youth and adults in this new location at 230 S. McCarthy Road in Grand Chute. The building was formerly Gill-Tech Academy of Hair Design.

Blaze Sports & Fitness previously operated as Enspire365 in a smaller location on Lawrence Street.

The new building has expanded sports and fitness programs, classes and faith-based life coaches. It’s also home to Wisconsin Blaze basketball and volleyball teams.

Expanding

McGuinness Irish Pub at 201 S. Walnut St. in Appleton will open its private party room called the Harp Room this week.

The space is the renovated former Mystic Ireland boutique, and before that was TrimB’s dining room. It will also be used for special events, concerts and the pub’s St. Patrick’s Day food buffet, said owner Matt Miller.

Open this week only

Anna McGuinness, co-owner of Mystic Ireland, has a temporary kiosk in the Fox River Mall’s central corridor near Tradehome shoes, selling sweaters, Irish T-shirts, Claddagh rings and mugs.

“People were asking where to get Irish stuff,” she said. “Like a leprechaun, I’ll be gone St. Patrick’s Day night.”

Mystic Ireland closed its Appleton store last June. It continues to operate a permanent store in Elm Grove, near Milwaukee.

Open

Copper Comb Professional Dog Grooming opened at 111 S. Nash St. in Hortonville, in the old police station building. Owner Darcey Upp grooms both dogs and cats by appointment.
