Khloe Kardashian Throws Daughter True Lavish First Birthday Party, Invites Tristan Thompson – The Cheat Sheet
Khloe Kardashian celebrated daughter True’s first birthday in style with a lavish birthday party, sparing no expense for her little girl. Butterflies, cotton candy animals, pastel balloons, ponies, and oh-so-much more were in store for her daughter’s big day.
Khloe Kardashian pulled out all the stops
Following sister Kylie Jenner’s lead when it comes to over-the-top kid birthday parties (remember the Stormi World theme park party Kylie created?), Kardashian created a beautiful dreamy theme for her daughter’s 1st birthday.
She showed off the details of the event in her Instagram Story, beginning with their outfits: gorgeous pale blue “mommy and me” dresses for the big event!
At the party, guests were treated to a smokey path that included colorful paper umbrellas, clusters of balloons, and butterflies. Of course, True’s name was spelled out in greenery. Food options included Pacific Organic Ice Pops and adorable cotton candy creations that looked like animals. There was a little kid play area as well for True and her pals to roam.
Kardashian gave a shout to party planner Mindy Weiss for “making all my dreams come true… you are a visionary.” Weiss, of course, brought Kylie’s vision for Stormi World to life.
Another bit of Kardashian’s Story showed off a neon sign that read “Sweet dreams are made of these,” with more colorful balloons and a wall of butterflies.
Kardashian gives back in a sweet way
Instead of gifts for True, Kardashian requested that people bring presents to be donated. She explained in her Instagram Story, “So we did not want presents for Miss True. We asked that everybody bring a gift for the Children’s Hospital LA.”
She showed off the collection of gifts that would be donated with a sign that explained: “Thank you for your donation. The mission of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is to create hope and build healthier futures. Every gift to Children’s Hospital makes a difference in the lives of the children and families they serve.”
Guests included True’s dad, Tristan Thompson
Despite Tristan Thompson recently cheating on Kardashian, she did invite him to his daughter’s birthday party. A source told ET last week: “Khloe and the family will be celebrating True’s first birthday this weekend. Although Khloe has been through a lot with Tristan, the addition of True to her life has made this past year the best.”
The insider added: “Khloe always wants True to have her father in her life, so Tristan is invited to be around for the celebration. Khloe will never let her issues with Tristan get in the way of True having a relationship with her dad.”
Other guests included Kardashian’s BFF Khadijah Haqq, grandma Kris Jenner, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner, and their kids. Kylie shared a video of daughter Stormi playing with True and Kim shared a clip of her daughters North and Chicago wearing matching dresses, with North insisting on wearing mom’s heels.
Kim explained in a video: “OK, guys, peep North’s shoes. She would not walk out of the house without my shoes.” She added, “Northie, put on the other shoes we brought please… Northie take those shoes off.”
