Doylestown announces summer slate of concerts, movies and fireworks – Bucks County Courier Times

All events will be held at the Monument Bank Amphitheater in Doylestown’s Central Park

The 2019 Thompson Performing Arts Series in Doylestown Township’s Central Park will begin at 7 p.m. June 19 with a performance by the Fabulous Greaseband at the Monument Bank Amphitheater.

Celebrating the 25th year of summer concerts in Doylestown, the series features 10 concerts, three movies, and one concert with fireworks celebration. All events are free to the public except the fireworks, which is $5 per carload.

DART shuttle transportation will be available for all Wednesday evening concerts, with stops at the county parking garage at 6:15 p.m., State and Main streets at 6:30 p.m., Grundy Hall at 6:30 p.m. and Colonial Heritage Park at 6:40 p.m.

The full schedule includes the Throwback Thursday movie “E.T.” at sunset June 20; the Philly Funk Authority at 7 p.m. June 26; Bigg Romeo at 7 p.m. July 7, followed by fireworks; an interactive Dueling Pianos show new to the series at 7 p.m. July 10; the Frankie Valli tribute Lights Out with their new Jersey Beach Boys show at 7 p.m. July 17; New Solution Entertainment at 7 p.m. July 24; Eric Mintel at 7 p.m. July 31; Big Chill at 7 p.m. Aug. 7; newcomer country group the Houston Bernard Band at 7 p.m. Aug. 14; Disney/Pixar’s “Incredibles 2” at sunset Aug. 15; returning favorites the Sensational Soul Cruisers (authentic Motown sound) at 7 p.m. Aug. 21; another favorite, Jimmy & the Parrots, at 7 p.m. Aug. 28; and Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns” at sunset Sept. 28.
