Jennifer Garner Covers People’s 2019 Most Beautiful Issue! – The Hollywood Gossip

Thirty, flirty and thriving?

Hmm, try more like forty seven, independent, and definitely thriving.

Though she needs no introduction, Jennifer Garner has scored the cover of this year’s People magazine Beautiful Issue and we honestly couldn’t think of anyone more deserving.

From balancing her career as one of Hollywood’s most beloved actresses with her business pursuits — including cofounding “Once Upon a Farm” organic cold-pressed baby food — to her role as an artist ambassador to “Save the Children,” Jen is simply beautiful in every possible way.

Even though she may disagree!

Garner’s response to being selected as the cover person for People was so humble and, well — so Jennifer Garner.

J. Garn

“This is so embarassing, I mean seriously,” the actress said after her selection was announced Tuesday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

She shared to Ellen that it was her first time seeing the cover, which features her dressed in a sleevless top, skirt and boots while sitting on the hood of a car.

“I can’t look at it,” she joked.

“People is now a magazine for the AARP.”

Jennifer Garner Looks Happy

Garner said while she found the honor flattering, she also felt super uncomfortable.

“I have never been more nervous than I am today,” she said. “I don’t know, I guess I just thought you guys would boo.”

But Degeneres wasn’t having it. “I agree with [People]. You are a beautiful person inside and out,” she said. (Aw)

The love Jennifer is receiving from her well earned cover story is nothing compared to the beauty she finds in being a mother to her three kids, Violet, 13, Seraphina, 10, and Samuel, 7, with her ex-husband Ben Affleck.

“I’m starting to get to the point where I realize this job is not going to be forever,” the 47-year-old star tells People.

“Not in the all-encompassing every meal, every moment, every way that I have loved for the last thirteen years.”

“It’s going to shift,” she explains. “But there’s beauty in how it works in episodes.”

Growing up in West Virginia, Garner insists that her style could be described as “band geek-chic,” she says, laughing.

“I was so not one of the pretty girls that I just bypassed insecurity and didn’t see myself as attractive at all. It was not part of my life.”

And while we are all probably thinking um, what? how?, she explains that her family kept her so grounded that looks were never the topic of discussion.

“I felt good about myself back then! That is the lucky trick,” she adds.

“Looks weren’t a big deal in my family. I don’t think my parents ever said ‘You’re pretty’ and so we just didn’t think about it.”

When she isn’t red-carpet ready, Garner admits that her “uniform” is more often than not workout clothes.

“I try so hard to get out of [them],” she says. “But sometimes the day just doesn’t give you a break to shower and put on my other uniform, which is jeans, a sweater and sneakers.”

And when it comes to cosmetics…

“Do I seem like someone who’s good at applying makeup?” she asks, laughing.

“I own the nicest brushes and I own contouring things. If I used it, I would just look bruised.”

Which is more than ok with her little ones who like their mom to look like well, their mom.

Jennifer Garner Smiles at Daughter

Once Jen gets home after a glam photo shoot, she says, “I’ll feel like the best possible version of myself.”

Adding that her kids will look at her and say, “Can you wash your face? Can you put your hair in a ponytail and put your glasses and sweats on?”

“And I see the compliment in that. They just want me to look like Mom,” she says, smiling.

Jennifer Garner is Gorgeous

Her charitable deeds, relatable and down-to-earth way of living, and her focus on being the best version of herself for her children are just a few of the things that make her perfect for this year’s Beautiful Issue.

The star joins a very famous list, including Pink who covered last year’s issue, as well as Julia Roberts, who has appeared on the cover a record-setting five times.

This year’s issue hits newsstands on Friday.
