Victoria Beckham set to host charity fashion show – harpersbazaar.com

Victoria Beckham is set to host a charity fashion show later this year, which will help to raise money for families affected by cancer. For the occasion, the designer is joining forces with Suzanne Rogers, a Canadian philanthropist who has worked with numerous designers in the past on similar ventures.

The fashion show will take place in Toronto in November with ticket sales raising money for a number of Rogers-backed charities, two of which will benefit families who have been affected by cancer. Camp Ooch is an oncology centre for families affected by childhood cancer and The Penelope Neuroblastoma Foundation funds brain tumour research and provides support. Other charities involved will be named closer to the event.

The show will take the format of an intimate presentation followed by lunch in the Canadian city.

Beckham is not the first designer to work with Rogers. The philanthropist has, since 2010, raised more than $3 million for children’s charities through ‘Suzanne Rogers Presents’, where Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, and others, have hosted shows.

“Suzanne’s charitable endeavours in bettering the lives of children around the world is inspiring, and I am delighted to be involved in the next in her series of fundraisers,” Beckham said in a statement about the news.

An exact date for the show has not yet been confirmed.
