Kendall Jenner is reportedly taking some time off from her relationship with Ben Simmons. The model, 23, and basketball star, 22, are “on a break,” a source close to Jenner told People.
“The relationship ran its course,” the insider added. “She’s spending time with her friends and back to being in fun mode.” Jenner and Simmons haven’t publicly responded to the news yet.
Page Six also reported that the couple split up altogether. A source told the outlet that the Philadelphia 76ers point guard was recently seen out with friends, sans Kendall, and that “there was buzz among Ben’s entourage that he and Jenner called it quits last week.”

Rumors of Kendall and Ben’s relationship first bubbled up a year ago. Although they’ve been photographed out together numerous times by paparazzi and shared some unsubtle Instagram flirtations since then, Jenner only publicly confirmed she was dating Simmons this February on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. At the time, the model said she and her beau had been seeing each other “for a bit now.”
Simmons confirmed the relationship much earlier, in August 2018. He told The Daily Telegraph that their relationship “is going great,” but added, “It is one of those things that I don’t like to talk about too much, because it is personal.”

Jenner also recently explained why she keeps her romance private in a recent interview. “A relationship is only meant to be between two people, and the second you make it the world’s business is when it starts messing with the two people mentally,” she said. “Like once everyone is let in, you’re letting all these opinions into your relationships, and I don’t think that’s fair.”
This isn’t the first time Jenner and Simmons have hit a rough patch. Back in August, E! News reported that the romance “cooled off” and that Jenner was “spending time with other people.” Will they be able to bounce back again?
