Marvel’s Avengers Has PS4 Exclusive Content and Early Beta Access – Game Rant

As predicted, Marvel’s Avengers was the mic drop moment for Square Enix at this year’s E3 2019 presentation and the company spent a fair portion of time slowly revealing more and more details and footage from the game. By the end, fans had cinematics, a tease of gameplay (hard to tell what was cinematic and what was gameplay), a release date, and some details about future DLC for the game.

In addition to all of that, Square Enix also revealed that Marvel’s Avengers is coming to PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. Apparently, players who opt for the PS4 option are going to receive some special bonuses like early beta access and some yet to be revealed console exclusive content.

The details of the exclusive content weren’t shared quite yet, aside from early beta access. It seems likely that these will be cosmetic benefits, but Square and Sony aren’t sharing those details quite yet.

It was starting to feel like the era of console exclusive bonuses was behind us, but apparently that’s not the case. There was much less of that trend at this year’s E3, but apparently it’s not dead quite yet. As next May rolls around, it will be interesting to find out how much of a selling factor those bonuses are for consumers.

Be sure to check back throughout the rest of the week for more E3 2019 leaks, news, and updates.
