‘The Witcher’ Teaser: Henry Cavill’s Geralt Is All About Monsters, Money and Massive Swords (Video) – TheWrap

Netflix dropped a teaser for “The Witcher” during the show’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday, giving fans of the beloved fantasy books their first look at Henry Cavill in action as monster hunter Geralt of Rivia, as well as Anya Cholatra as Yennefer and Freya Allan as Ciri.

In the teaser above, which Cavill previewed for the con-goers in Hall H, you’ll be introduced to The Continent, “where humans, elves, witchers, gnomes, and monsters battle to survive and thrive, and where good and evil is not easily identified.” You’ll see Geralt’s life is all about monsters, money and sword-fighting — until fate gets involved, of course.

Based on the best-selling fantasy series of books, “The Witcher” is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
