How Many Flyers Players Will Score 20 Goals This Upcoming Season? by Benjamin Gabrych

This week’s serving of Broad Street Buzz content you might have missed.

The week kicked off with Philadelphia Flyers forward and centerman Sean Couturier getting snubbed from NHL Network’s Top-20 Centers list, because reasons? Who knows at this point.

The Flyers are set to have 20 of their 82 games broadcasted on either NBC or NBCSN, which is three more than last season and also led all NHL teams in that category.

Philadelphia should more than likely have Carter Hart and Brian Elliott in-net to begin the 2019-20 campaign, but will the duo be enough to lead them back into the Stanley Cup Playoffs?

The Flyers will have a total of ten prospects playing in the NCAA ranks this upcoming year and here are a few you should watch throughout the season.

While it’s always nice to focus on the positive side of things, not everything can go right for the Orange and Black next year. Some players may regress instead of taking steps forward, and we highlighted two who may do so.

Starting our 2019-20 Player Expectations series, Oskar Lindblom had a strong finish to the 2018-19 season, netting 22 points in the final 44 games. Will he be able to continue making strides and become a dependable depth scorer for the Flyers on the third or possibly even second line?

Five different skaters found the back of the net at least 20 times for Philadelphia this past year in Couturier, James van Riemsdyk, Travis Konecny, Claude Giroux, and Jakub Voracek. Could the team find themselves with more than that next season?

We’re another week closer to training camp getting underway, Flyers fans! General Manager and Team President does still have to re-sign Restricted Free Agents Konecny and Ivan Provorov, though, so stay tuned on that until then. Let’s just hope both extensions happen sooner rather than later.
