Life Time plans to create more than 200 jobs in Brookfield at its new athletic lifestyle resort – Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

Life Time is planning to create more than 200 jobs at its new athletic lifestyle resort in Brookfield, which is scheduled to open this fall.

These positions will be full time, part time and seasonal, a news release said. 

There will be employment opportunities in aquatics for swim lessons and lifeguarding, the LifeSpa, a salon and spa, the Kids Academy, which holds activities and camps, LifeCafe, a restaurant, facility operations, like building maintenance and housekeeping, personal training, and member services, which is at the front desk, according to the release. 

Life Time will host hiring fairs from 3 to 7 p.m. Aug. 27 and 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 14, both at the Courtyard by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield, 16865 W. Bluemound Road, Brookfield.

Applicants are to dress professionally and bring a copy of their resume to meet the club’s leadership team, the release said. 

“Our hiring events are a great way for us to find passionate professionals who are fervent about health, fitness and being part of a dedicated team with the goal of inspiring others who want to live well-rounded, healthy and active lifestyles,” general manager John Dahman said in the release. 

Auditions for group fitness positions will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott Milwaukee Brookfield as well. 

There will be auditions for studio positions from 1 to 3 p.m., cycling from 3 to 4 p.m. and yoga from 4 to 6 p.m., all on Sept. 7; yoga from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., studio from 1 to 3 p.m. and cycling from 3 to 4 p.m., all on Sept. 8; yoga from 4 to 5:30 p.m., cycling from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and studio from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., all on Sept. 19; and studio from 4 to 6 p.m., cycling from 6 to 7 p.m. and yoga from 7 to 8:30 p.m., all on Sept. 20. 

Hired applicants will receive a complimentary club membership, the release said.

Life Time will operate in a 126,000-square-foot facility and 30,000-square-foot outdoor space at 17585 Golf Parkway. 

The resort will have indoor and outdoor aquatic centers with leisure and lap pools, and resort-style seating.

There will be more than 400 pieces of cardiovascular and resistance training equipment, two full-size basketball courts with Ultimate Hoops leagues and skills training, and studios for group fitness, cycle, yoga, one-on-one personal training, and small group GTX and Alpha Training, the release said. 

An athletic performance and recovery area will have metabolic assessments, nutrition coaching, sports and athletic recovery treatments, and chiropractic and physical therapy care. 

LifeSpa will offer salon and spa services for hair, body and nails.

LifeCafe, a nutrition-focused, fast-casual restaurant, will serve a full menu, including meals-to-go and nutritional supplements. 

Life Time has 143 locations in 39 markets in the U.S. and Canada. The brand first announced it was eyeing the Brookfield area in 2016.
