From ‘Iron Man’ to ‘Captain Marvel,’ Here Are the Marvel Movies to Be Available on Disney Plus – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

It has been a few months since Disney announced it would have its own streaming platform. This subscription service, entitled Disney Plus, will have thousands of hours of content available for viewers. That includes movies and television shows created by Pixar, Marvel, National Geographic, and Star Wars. Here’s a list of all the Marvel movies available at Disney Plus’ launch.

What’s Disney Plus without some Marvel flicks? According to CNET, there will be four Marvel movies available on this streaming platform at its launch date. Those four movies are Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Captain Marvel, and Thor: The Dark World. However, that won’t be the end of Marvel-related content for Disney’s streaming service.

Thankfully, within the next few years, multiple Marvel shows will be popping up on the streaming platform. While there will be new characters and stories to explore, a few familiar faces will make their way over to Disney Plus. Upcoming spin-off series’ include The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, WandaVision, and Loki.

“These episodes will intersect with the movies in a very big way. It’s a totally new form of storytelling that we get to play with and explore,” Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige said during an interview with Variety. Animated Marvel shows, including Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man, will be available at Disney Plus’ launch date. However, there will be no new Marvel shows available at the streaming platform’s release date.

Captain Marvel will be available on Disney Plus at its launch

Movies released by Marvel in 2019, including Captain Marvel, will be available for streaming on Disney Plus. Starring Brie Larson, Captain Marvel is one of the highest-grossing Marvel movies of all time and will be available at Disney Plus’ launch date. Of course, the box office sales of Captain Marvel did not surpass that of Avengers: Endgame.

There is no word regarding the most recently released Marvel movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home, and whether it will be available on Disney Plus. However, there is a date for when Avengers: Endgame will be on the streaming platform.

Will ‘Avengers: Endgame’ be on Disney Plus?

We love this Marvel movie 3000. Although Avengers: Endgame will not be available at Disney Plus’ launch date, the blockbuster will make its way to the streaming platform by the end of 2019. According to CNET, Avengers: Endgame will be available for bingeing starting on Dec. 11, 2019. There’s no word regarding if or when Avengers: Infinity War will be on Disney Plus. However, that film is currently available for streaming on Netflix.

Presumably, Disney will remove all of its content from Netflix within the upcoming months. That includes movies like Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Additionally, there are multiple Marvel movies, including Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and Black Panther currently available on Netflix.

Disney’s streaming platform, Disney Plus, launches in the United States on Nov. 12, 2019.
