Aaron Carter is ‘changing his whole lifestyle’ with a move to Canada… and celebrates his mother’s sobriety after she sought help for alcohol addiction

He’s used social media as a tool to connect with fans around the world. 

And Aaron Carter updated his loyal following on Instagram early Monday morning with a quick video clip accompanied by a bathroom selfie from his Motel 6 in Novia Scotia.

The 31-year-old singer admitted to his followers that he’s ‘changing his whole lifestyle’ with a move to Canada after sharing that his mother Jane is approaching 40 days of sobriety following treatment for alcohol dependency.

Aaron stood in front of the mirror of his hotel room wearing an eclectic long-sleeved shirt paired with a few gold and diamond chains in addition to a slew of sparkling rings.

He showed off his latest ink work of Rihanna’s Medusa GQ cover across the side of his face with ‘love’ tattooed underneath his eye.   

‘Today is that day!! changing my whole lifestyle,’ he wrote to his 474,000 followers, with another 631,000 Twitter users receiving the same message. ‘Getting away from all the crap. Making my music and living my life in peace waiting for my future wife to find me or I find her.

He sat down at the desk in his room to post a video thanking his fanbase for staying by his side despite a challenging few months in the public eye. 

‘I’m moving to Canada. I’ts happening; it’s not a joke,’ he assured his loyal fans. ‘I love it here.’

He admitted he’s getting away from all of that’ drama back home and ‘moving 5,000 miles away’ to accomplish a few goals: ‘Make great music and just be happy.’  

Carter also shared an update about his mother Jane, who sought help from The Doctors to battle her alcohol addiction.

‘My mother sent me a picture updating me on her progress and I’m so proud that she is almost 40 days sober and she is truly the love of my life,’ he wrote. ‘Momma without you there would be no me.

‘You can do it and you CAN help the ones you love as long as you help yourselves first.’

His move to Canada seems imminent as Aaron regularly shares videos of unwanted law enforcement officials performing welfare checks at his home in California.

Earlier this year, he accused his family of targeting him after his brother Nick and twin sister Angel filed restraining orders against him.

The siblings claimed they felt in danger amid Aaron’s ‘increasingly alarming behavior’ combined with the arsenal of handguns and rifles he’s shown off on social media. 

Despite the controversies, Aaron remains focused on creating and connecting with fans all over the world through his music.
