The former England footballer – who was partnered with professional partner Nadiya Bychkova – appeared in the bottom two with BBC sport presenter Mike Bushell and his partner Katya Jones.
Both couples performed their routines again, David and Nadiya performed their jive to Such a Night by Michael Bublé and Mike and Katya performed their salsa to Jump On It to The Sugar Hill Gang in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.
The judges were agreed on saving Mike and Katya, resulting in David being sent home from the competition.

The Chase star – who stunned viewers with her take of Queen’s Somebody to Love – was unexpectedly cut from the second audition show last night, but the judges have now changed their minds and given her a place in the lives.
On Saturday night, viewers saw judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger tell Ryan they could not give her a yes for the Overs category.
But after considering the celebrities’ performances again, the trio decided Ryan did deserve a coveted spot on the live shows.
