Best Disney Animated Movies Coming to Disney Plus: A Complete List – Parade
Come Nov. 12, you can find us singing our favorite Disney songs in front of the TV. Disney+ f-i-n-a-l-l-y launches this month with an extensive library. By the end of its first year, the subscription video on-demand streaming service will be home to more than 7,500 episodes of television and 500 movies, including Star Wars and Marvel blockbusters like Avengers: Endgame. But if you’re anything like us and find yourself singing Disney tunes with your nieces and nephews and have voluntarily seen Frozen 1,000 times, you, too, have hours worth of content to look forward to. Within its repertoire are several of our absolute favorite animated Disney films, and we’ve picked 15 to help kick off your upcoming bingeing session. 1. 101 Dalmatians (1961)
Set in London, Dalmatians Pongo and Perdita welcome a litter of 15 puppies. When Cruella De Vil wants to buy them all, owner Roger declines her offer. As a result, Cruella has her henchmen Horace and Jasper steal them along with other pups so she can make a fur coat.

2. Aladdin (1992)
Aladdin is a “street rat” who gets tapped by the Sultan’s advisor Jafar to go into the Cave of Wonders and retrieve a lamp. After he gets stuck inside, Aladdin rubs the lamp and out pops Genie, who helps Aladdin become a prince so he can land Princess Jasmine. The movie is a magical carpet ride from beginning to end.
3. Mary Poppins (1964)
OK, so this film is obviously not a cartoon, but it combines live-action and animation, and the combo is supercalifragilisticexpialidoc
4. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937)
No list of Disney films would be complete without Walt Disney’s first feature length movie, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The wicked queen is jealous of Snow White’s beauty, so orders to have her killed. However, the huntsman can’t kill her, so Snow White runs off into the woods where she befriends seven dwarfs. When the queen learns that Snow White is alive she has her take a bite out of a poison apple, but thankfully Prince Charming comes to save the day.
5. The Little Mermaid (1989)
Mermaid Ariel wanted to be a part of our world and got her wish when she makes a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula to trade her voice for legs. King Trident’s daughter falls in love with Prince Eric, but needs him to fall in love with her before time runs out.
6. Peter Pan (1953)
Go off to Neverland with Peter Pan a.k.a. the boy who wouldn’t grow up. Peter and Tinker Bell whisk Wendy, John and Michael to the island, where they encounter Captain Hook, a crocodile, mermaids, Indians and the Lost Boys.
7. Robin Hood (1973)
The animated film tells the story of the famous English hero Robin Hood and his friend Little John, who steal from the rich and give to the poor. Robin
8. Cinderella (1950)
Cinderella wants to go to the ball, but her evil stepmother won’t allow it. However, Cinderella’s fairy godmother comes to her aid, dressing her in a blue dress and glass slippers fit for a princess, but there is a catch. Cinderella only has until midnight before everything reverts to how it’s supposed to be, like her carriage that’s actually a pumpkin. Before the clock strikes, Cinderella flees the castle leaving behind a slipper that the prince picks up and uses to scour the kingdom for his future princess.
9. Pocahontas (1995)
Captain John Smith journeys to the New World, where he meets the daughter of Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas. The two fall in love, but Pocahontas’ father disapproves after one of John’s friends kills an Indian. With John set to be killed, Pocahontas runs to her love’s side to save him, while giving everybody a lesson in understanding and acceptance.

10. Pinocchio (1940)
Woodworker Geppetto wishes on a falling star that his puppet can become a real boy. The Blue Fairy grants his wish and Pinocchio comes to life with Jiminy Cricket as his conscience.

12. Lady and the Tramp (1955)
Yes, Disney+ is bringing subscribers a live-action version of the classic film, but nothing can replace the original. When Lady, whose owners just welcomed a baby, gets loose, she befriends a stray mutt, Tramp. A romance between the canines begins.
13. The Aristocats (1970)
A high society cat named Duchess and her three little kittens are set to inherit their owner Madame Adelaide Bonfamille’s fortune, until the house butler Edgar catnaps them so he can gain it. Alley cat Thomas O’Malley and his band of swingin’ jazz cats help save the day.
14. Oliver & Company (1988)
There’s no need to worry, because Oliver and his pals will be on Disney+. Orphaned kitten Oliver is taken in by a gang of thieving dogs led by Dodger. However, Oliver gets picked up one day by a rich young girl named Jenny, who ends up getting kidnapped and held for ransom.
15. Fantasia (1940)
Fantastia is a masterpiece of sight and sound, featuring Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice in one segment. The movie is comprised of eight different segments set to classical music.
