Jennifer Dulos’ hubby paid for jet-set lifestyle with gal pal: court witness – New York Post
Fotis Dulos, the estranged husband of missing Connecticut mom Jennifer Dulos, went on lavish overseas holidays with girlfriend Michelle Traconis for years before the pair were charged in connection with Jennifer’s May disappearance, according to court testimony Tuesday.
The Greek real estate developer looked confused and concerned — and his lawyer put his head in his hands — in Hartford court as a witness revealed that Fotis bought flights to Fort Lauderdale and Miami in Florida, Argentina, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for himself, his gal pal and her daughter as far back as December 2015.
His estranged wife filed for divorce June 2017, but the new allegations in Hartford Superior Court suggested that Fotis and Traconis were having an affair for years prior.
The revelations were part of an unrelated civil suit brought by Jennifer’s mother, Gloria Farber, who claims Fotis, 51, owes her millions of dollars in unpaid loans after she invested in his real estate business and helped pay for the sprawling, 14,000-square-foot mansion in Farmington where her daughter and son-in-law lived with their five children.
In June, Fotis and Traconis, 44, were arrested in connection with Jennifer’s May 24 appearance and pleaded not guilty to charges of hindering prosecution and tampering with evidence.
Traconis is accused of helping Fotis clean up a pickup truck that cops say was used the day Jennifer disappeared.
Fotis and Jennifer had been engaged in a bitter divorce battle when she vanished.
As part of a forensic examination of Fotis’ finances, a paralegal employed by Farber’s lawyer told the civil court judge that the real estate developer lived a lavish jet-set lifestyle with his mistress.
In December 2017, Fotis purchased JetBlue tickets for him, Traconis and her daughter, Nicole, the court heard.
In March 2017, he bought American Airlines tickets to Miami for him and his lover, who were off again to Argentina in August 2018.
In December, he splurged on a room in the St Regis in Florida and bought flights for him, Traconis and Nicole.
Later that month, Fotis also purchased tickets for him and his lover to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands.
The father of five has maintained his innocence and claims the loans from his wife’s family were a gift.
