TV bosses considered replacing Phillip Schofield on This Morning with Ben Shephard
We can reveal embattled daytime boss Emma Gormley deemed Good Morning Britain host Ben her top choice for a possible replacement if Schofield ever leaves the show.
It comes after Amanda Holden backed Ruth Langsford for formally complaining about the This Morning host.
The BGT judge, who has clashed before with Schofield, praised Ruth for “sticking up for herself”.
She also suggested a can of worms may be about to open — amid claims civil war had broken out at the ITV show.
