Expo moves ‘fashion forward’ – Fenton Tri County Times

No matter what the weather, spring will be in the air at the second annual Expo Fashion Show on Sunday, March 8, from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

Local models will be walking down the runway of the Fenton High School cafeteria, representing spring apparel and fashions from Eclections, Nick + Crew and Spa Naturelle, all of Fenton and Serendipity Wellness Spa of Linden.

Look ahead to warm, sunny days, while wearing new fashion trends like patterned pants in vibrant colors, pastel tie-dyed tops and bottoms, the newest neutral in light blush and more, according to Nicole Medich of Eclections.

“We’ll have four or five models focusing on spring/summer trends,” she said. “We’ll be including the guys’ side of fashion, too.”

Serendipity Wellness Spa will supply Love Your Melon products in hats, blankets and scarves, modeled by local kids and adults. Fifty percent of net profit from the sale of all Love Your Melon products is given to support charitable programming and therapeutic experiences for children and families battling cancer.

“We supply the products, while Linda Hathaway (Expo chairperson) hooks us up with the models,” said Jessica Skop, owner of Serendipity Wellness Spa.

Brandy Gilmer of Keller Williams First of Grand Blanc and Fenton is organizing the event for the second year. “All of the participants are pros at it,” she said. “They make it easy for me.”

Gilmer adds that she is trying to find a way to tie in the Chamber’s 100th birthday into the fashion presented at the Expo Fashion Show. Will there be flappers and fringed/beaded dresses on the runway?

Either way, the spirit of fashion will all be in the fun of welcoming spring and summer with seasonal trends and on-point style.
