Kirstie Allsopp has been slammed for taking her family to her second home in Devon after her husband Ben Andersen contracted the coronavirus.

Writing in a column for The Times newspaper, the Location, Location, Location star, who previously hit out at Amy Hart while she was on Love Island, explained that her other half has tested positive for the deadly bug.

The 48 year old added that he may have given the it to Kirstie’s sister, too, as she has been exhibiting symptoms that fit covid-19.

Kirstie made the decision to take her children out of school after Ben fell ill with the virus so they could all self-isolate together.

Ben, Kirstie and their kids Lydia, 19, Hal, 17, Bay, 13, and 11 year old Oscar then headed out for their country home in Devon.

Writing about their time there, Kirstie said: “We’ve all been living together for the past few days. But we’re not sharing bathrooms, towels, utensils etc.”

The TV presenter, who previously credited James Corden’s nutritionist for her impressive weight loss, went on to explain that her sister, who had stayed with the family while Ben had the virus, was now worried that she might have the illness as she described feeling some discomfort in her lungs.

Kirstie said of her sister: “She’s really unwell, totally bedridden and feeling as if she has ‘smoked a packet of B&H every day for the past 20 years’.

“She asked for a test on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of the previous week to no avail. She’s hoping that Ben testing positive will mean she can get a test too.”

While the majority of Kirstie’s immediate family is showing no symptoms of covid-19, she did admit that her son Hal has developed a cough during their time in self-isolation.

Since writing this column, the TV personality has come under fire from the public as she’s been called an “entitled f**king princess” and has been accused of spreading the coronavirus.

Taking to Twitter, one person wrote: “I for one am completely amazed that Kirstie Allsopp has behaved like an entitled f***ing princess.” [sic]
