Philadelphia Flyers Trade Value Rankings: Part 3 by Wes Herrmann

This week’s serving of Broad Street Buzz content you might have missed.

The Philadelphia Flyers kicked off the week looking to stay white-hot and extend their winning streak to eight games against the Vancouver Canucks.

Carter Hart did more Carter Hart things and helped lead the Flyers to a 2-1 victory over the Canucks at home.

With the 2019 NHL Trade Deadline is just around the corner, we took a look at a couple of potential line combinations, defensive pairings, and goaltending duos that could be seen on-the-ice before moves are made.

The Flyers have been winning a lot lately, putting themselves right back in the playoff conversation in doing so, but that shouldn’t stray General Manager Chuck Fletcher away from trading impending Unrestricted Free Agent Wayne Simmonds.

Travis Konecny was highlighted as a player to watch for Philadelphia in their matchup against a defensively sound Los Angeles Kings team.

Although they battled back to force a shootout, the Flyers eventually fell to the Kings in the sixth round which snapped their longest win streak of the year.

Philadelphia has plenty of tradable players heading into the February 25th deadline and we ranked all of them in a three part series.

The Flyers hoped to bounce back from their first loss since January 12th and sweep the season series taking on a lowly Anaheim Ducks squad.

But not without making a move first, as Fletcher traded Dale Weise and Christian Folin to the Montreal Canadians just about an hour or two before the team’s matchup with the Ducks.

The Orange and Black eventually rebounded in a big way, obliterating Anaheim by a score of 6-2 thanks to a three point performance from Sean Couturier.
