Pusha-T's show in Drake's hometown ends early after people rush the stage, spark brawl

Pusha-T, the rapper who notoriously beefed with Drake over the summer, was forced to shut down his sold-out Canadian show after a brawl broke out between concertgoers and his team.

Toronto police said “numerous (people were) injured from a fight inside a concert hall” Tuesday night after a group of people “attacked performers.” Authorities and paramedics were called to the Danforth Music Hall, where Pusha-T was continuing his Daytona Tour Part 2.

Fan footage shows the rapper, born Terrence LeVarr Thornton, performing onstage before being hit with liquid and cups thrown from the audience.

That’s when several concertgoers attempted to rush the stage, hopping over a barrier that separates the crowd from the rapper. The men did not make it to the stage and instead clashed with members of Pusha-T’s team, which unleashed a full-on brawl.

It’s worth noting that Toronto is the hometown of Drake, who has an ongoing feud with Pusha-T.

Pusha-T and Drake have exchanged shots over the years, but the beef was renewed in May after Pusha-T accused Drake of using a ghostwriter in his song “Infrared.” Drake responded with “Duppy Freestyle,” joking that the rapper owes Drake for helping revitalize his career.

The “Daytona” rapper took the gloves off in follow-up track “The Story of Adidon,” revealing Drake had a child with a Canadian porn star that he was hiding.

“A baby’s involved, it’s deeper than rap / We talkin’ character, let me keep with the facts / You are hiding a child, let that boy come home / Deadbeat (expletive) playin’ border patrol.”

The cover art for the diss track was an unearthed photo of Drake in blackface, adding insult to injury. The “God’s Plan” rapper later said the picture was staged as commentary on the struggle black actors face.

Drake confirmed the fatherhood rumors on his June album, “Scorpion,” and slowly revealed more about his child, gushing about his “beautiful son” on an episode of LeBron James’ new unscripted HBO series “The Shop.”
