Yup, Devin Ratray – who starred alongside Macauley Culkin back in the 1990 film – is in the second episode of the Netflix series. The episode is called The Great Escape, and Devin plays an unnamed man moaning in the shop down the road from Nadia’s party.

He spends most of the scene whining about something or other, much to the annoyance of Nadia – played by Natasha Lyonne – who already has a lot on her plate, seeing as she keeps dying, and on her 36th birthday too.

So, yeah, in case you didn’t know, the eight-episode TV series follows game developer Nadia as she dies over and over and over again on her birthday. Oh, the inhumanity of it all.

Natasha not only stars in Russian Doll, but she’s also the co-creator of it, along with Leslye Headland, and Parks And Recreation’s Amy Poehler. So, yeah – it was always going to be practically impossible for this TV show to be bad, right?

Starring alongside Natasha in the black comedy is Chloe Sevigny, who plays Nadia’s mother in a series of flashbacks. Plus, Greta Lee, Yul Vazquez, Elizabeth Ashley, Charlie Barnett, Brendan Sexton III and Rebecca Henderson all star in Russian Doll.

Oh, and here’s the song you keep hearing in the show that’s almost definitely stuck in your head.
