NYPD allegedly told to shoot 50 Cent on sight

A New York Police Department commander is under investigation after allegedly telling NYPD to shoot rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson on sight. A source told the New York Daily News that Deputy Inspector Emanuel Gonzalez, a 30-year veteran, told officers during roll call last summer to shoot the hip-hop star and actor. Jackson revealed Sunday morning he didn’t even know about the threat until he read the news. “This guy Emanuel Gonzales is a dirty cop abusing his POWER. The sad part is this man still has a badge and a gun. I take this threat very seriously and I’m consulting with my legal counsel regarding my options moving forward,” Fiddy tweeted.

According to the Daily News, the threat allegedly occurred when the “In Da Club” emcee was scheduled to attend an NYPD sanctioned boxing match in the Bronx. THR reports Gonzales is still on active duty and has tried to pass off his comments as “a joke,” but police confirmed “the matter is under internal review.”

‘SNL’ highlights

Alec Baldwin returned as President Donald Trump on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend, lampooning the “national emergency” declaration (and drawing the Twitter wrath of Trump himself). Other “SNL” highlights include a “Family Feud” take on Oscar nominees, a hilarious bar fight disrupted by a catchy song (Mika’s “Lollipop”), and host Don Cheadle bringing an abomination to life in an extreme baking championship reality show.
