Miranda Lambert’s hot new NYPD cop hubby lived a “secret life” – and allegedly cheated on his ex-fiancée with a woman he got pregnant, according to a new report.
The mother of Brendan McLoughlin’s ex Jackie Bruno opened up about his supposed sordid past, saying her daughter had no idea he was two-timing her, Radar Online reported.
“She was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant,” Carol Bruno told the gossip site. “It’s all true.”
McLoughlin, a 27-year-old from Staten Island, at first denied the affair – and then begged Jackie to take him back, her mom added.
“He was begging her to marry him before she left [again for Europe], even though he knew the girl was pregnant,” Carol said.
Over the weekend, Lambert revealed she’d secretly gotten hitched to McLoughlin, a one-time aspiring model.
The pair met on Nov. 2 on the set of “Good Morning America” – just days before McLoughlin became a dad to his first child, a son named Landon, with Manhattan attorney Kaihla Rettinger, Radar reported.
Lambert, 35, was in New York for a performance on the show, where McLoughlin was working.
Jackie was playing professional soccer in Sweden but had gotten injured and came home – and that’s when Rettinger tipped her off about her fiancé’s two-timing ways, according to Carol.
“He could have just broken up with her and Jackie never would have known. He lived a secret life for several months,” Carol said. “It was pretty upsetting.”
She went on to blast her would-be son-in-law as a “phony,” saying her daughter wants to “completely get rid of the garbage” in her life and that she’s “over him.”
“She’s better off without him,” the mom said. “She’s a great person and definitely didn’t deserve what he did to her. He definitely was very phony and she had no idea. He hid it well, he hid it very well.”
Lambert, the Grammy-winning country star, had previously been involved with singer Evan Felker, who allegedly left his wife for her, according to Radar.
He and Lambert broke up last summer.
This is Lambert’s second marriage. She and fellow country singer Blake Shelton tied the knot in 2011 but split after four years.
