Ethan Hawke stars in “Stockholm,” about a 1970s bank heist, and told Page Six of the project, “Let’s face it — if the history of cinema teaches us anything, there is something sexy about robbing a bank, from ‘Bonnie & Clyde,’ down the line.”

He added at the MoMA screening, “Danger is sexy. The other strange thing is, we are in this building together, and we might get killed — it could be our last day on Earth.”

Co-star Noomi Rapace chimed in on Hollywood’s historical bank-robbing obsession, “It is being a rebel, going against society, saying, ‘We create our own rules.’ All of that is sexy.”

In this case, the film follows the bizarre heist and hostage crisis that led to the term Stockholm Syndrome.
