Country music star Travis Tritt involved in SC multi-vehicle crash that left two dead, others injured – WIBW

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Two people are dead following a multi-vehicle car crash in South Carolina early Saturday morning.

According to Horry County Fire Rescue, crews responded to a wreck on Highway 22, in Horry Co., involving two cars and a tour bus around 3:30 a.m. Two people were killed and one other hurt in the crash.

Country music star Travis Tritt wrote on Twitter that his tour bus was involved in the wreck, saying everyone on the bus was okay.

“I feel so bad for those who died needlessly tonight. I’m really shaken up by what I witnessed. God bless those who died,” he said.

Tritt wrote that his bus was sideswiped by a wrong-way driver.

Tritt was scheduled to perform at the House of Blues in North Myrtle Beach last night, according to his website.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
