Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Prince William, and Kate Middleton Have Reunited for a Special Video. Here’s Where You Can Watch It – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

Anytime there is a potential rift in the royal family, media outlets love to report on it, especially if it’s between Prince Harry and Prince William. If the brothers don’t look absolutely overjoyed to be in each other’s presence, you can bet some publication is going to say that they are at odds.

With the addition of Meghan Markle into the royal family, it has been reported that her presence has put some strain on the brother’s relationship. As soon as they were wed, Markle and Harry seemed to want their own identity and not to be lumped with William and Middleton as a foursome. But a new project has brought the old gang back together.

The royal split

Originally Prince Harry and Prince William shared an office. When Harry married Markle, many people assumed that the group would continue to work together as part of one office.

But instead, they decided to split off.

“They have always been different, they are very different characters,” a source told People of the brothers. “They drew great comfort from each other when their mother died, and as they’ve grown up together. But they need to be separate. Now Meghan has arrived it is the right time to make that break.”

And though it may have taken some people by surprise, a split was pretty much inevitable.

“The arrival of Meghan has changed the dynamic of the relationship in a fairly significant way,” royals author Sally Bedell Smith told the outlet. “It is inevitable and practical because it gives Harry and Meghan some freedom to build up their own collection of interests and charities.”

Though the foursome has officially split up, they still come together for certain things.

Most recently, they joined forces to voice a PSA for mental health.

The clip, which was launched as part of Public Health England’s Every Mind Matters program, was written by Richard Curtis, who created Four Weddings and a Funeral.

Though the royals are only voicing the PSA, it will include stars like Glenn Close, Gillian Anderson, and more, according to People.

“When they heard about it, all four of them were really keen to take part,” a royal source told the outlet. “It is a really positive project, and all four of them have been involved and they hope it will have a huge impact.”

This isn’t the first time the couples reunited for mental health. Earlier in the year, the group worked together to launch GiveAShout, a 24/7 hotline to help people dealing with critical issues.

“This free text messaging helpline is a private, silent and trusted way, for those experiencing mental health challenges to find a safe space to seek help and support,” the Sussexes wrote on their Instagram page during the launch.

“This is an extension of the @heads_together initiative backed by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”
