What do you want in Fox Cities?
I’m starting to compile the annual Reader Wish List, which is the list of businesses, stores, restaurants and services that readers have seen elsewhere and would like to have here in the greater Appleton area.
Trader Joe’s has topped the list for a decade.
And while it may be the top pick once again, the list could look different from there because a lot of previous wishes came true.
Chick-fil-A, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, P.F. Chang’s and H&M all opened in Appleton or Grand Chute.
Lush, the bath and body products store, has started construction in the Fox River Mall.
Dave & Buster’s is building in Green Bay, which isn’t here, but it’s close.

Some reader wishes might not be national names at all, but instead might be a need. It could be a type of cuisine that this area lacks, or a business needed in a particular part of town.
