Elton John bought ‘a ton’ of Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candles: ‘He’s a fan’ – Page Six

Can’t get your hands on Gwyneth Paltrow‘s sold-out “This Smells Like My Vagina” candle? Blame Elton John.

According to Heretic perfumer Douglas Little, who along with the Goop founder created the viral votive, the 72-year-old music legend can’t get enough of the scandalous scent.

“Elton John bought a ton of them. Like a lot. Like, a lot a lot. He’s a fan,” Little told The Cut. “We have been hounded and stalked by so many people [trying to get one]. I saw the candle being sold on eBay for a ridiculous price.”

The artist said that he and Paltrow, 47, wanted to create “something that was voluptuous and sensual and also provocative and fun,” and shot down the notion that the final product — despite its “very musky notes” and much-discussed name — is meant to mirror the aroma of the Goop guru’s own nether regions.

“Just saying the word — vagina! — is shocking to some people,” he told the outlet. “Why the f—k is that? There’s no reason. It’s this beautiful, sacred thing and yet in our society and in many societies there is a lot of stigma and shame. I think people are sick of that.”

As for Martha Stewart’s suggestion that men are to thank for the product’s success?

“I would say that about 92 percent of our customers for this product are female,” Little said. “When was the last time a bunch of horny guys were out buying scented candles?”

Consider the “Candle In the Wind” singer an exception, perhaps.
