From Sam Raimi, The Evil Dead is everything you want in a zombie or “demons”) movie. It’s absolutely disgusting and will give you nightmares.
Basically, dumb teenagers do dumb teenager stuff, like read from a book called the Necronomicon, which brings the dead back to life. The dumb teenagers then have to figure out a way to capture and seal away the wicked evil they’ve unleashed upon the world while trying to stay alive.
If you like this one, we’d suggest watching the Evil Dead (2013) remake, too. It’s also terrifying and even more disturbing since everything looks much more real and so much more gruesome than any SFX made in 1981.
