LIVERPOOL CAN GET WERNER BARGAIN
It seems like the stars are aligning for Liverpool and Timo Werner

The RB Leipzig striker has again been talking up the Reds and particularly Jurgen Klopp who Werner labelled ‘the best coach in the world’. The massive flirt also acknowledged that ‘there are a lot of things that would suggest that my playing style might be a good fit’.

Werner could be a cheap date too. There has been plenty of speculation surrounding his release clause since Leipzig convinced him to sign new terms last summer. It was thought that it might take £50million to buy Werner out of that contract but Sport-1 in Germany are now suggesting that Liverpool – or anyone else – might get the 24-year-old for half of that price.

Apparently, Werner can leave Leipzig for £25million up front plus a guarantee of performance-related bonuses. Even if that totals £50million, it still looks like a steal.

OPINION: Liverpool needed oomph of Ox on Monday night

SANCHO EXIT NOT CERTAIN
Jadon Sancho is also thought to be heading towards the Premier League from Germany this summer. But that might not be the dead cert we all assumed it was…

Manchester United and Chelsea are both jostling for position at the head of the queue for the England winger, who it seemed had burned most of his bridges in Dortmund earlier in the season. But a lot can be forgiven while Sancho is in the form he has shown of late. The teenager has scored 13 goals and laid on another 14, all in 21 Bundesliga matches.

So Dortmund are understandably loathe to lose such a talent, no matter how keen United and Chelsea might be. And Ruhr Nachrichten in Germany is claiming that it is by no means certain they will.

Apparently, both the player and the club are aware of how much each owes the other and an exit path has yet to be laid out. United and Chelsea have more to contend with than just each other.

AUBA STALLS ON ARSENAL TALKS
One attacker who did make the move from Dortmund to the Premier League could be on his way once more.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future is again looking uncertain with Arsenal concerned over the Gabon striker’s refusal to commit to the club beyond the end of his current deal which has only a season and a half left to run.

The Daily Star is quoting an Italian journalist who reckons Aubameyang has again stalled in negotiations, which could lead to Arsenal selling the 30-year-old this summer rather than risk losing him for nothing a year later. Inter Milan are said to be most interested, especially while Lautaro Martinez is linked with Barcelona.

AND THE REST
AC Milan aren’t interested in Nemanja Matic because of the Man Utd midfielder’s wage demands… Leicester are considering offering Christian Fuchs a new deal… Man Utd remain keen on Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi… Jose Mourinho is still interested in Chelsea winger Willian… Everton are chasing Lille defender Gabriel.
