Rappers demand Fox News fire Laura Ingraham for Nipsey Hussle segment – Washington Examiner

Rappers are calling on Fox News to fire Laura Ingraham after the host dedicated a segment to late rapper Nipsey Hussle during her Friday program.

A day after the memorial service for Hussle, who was gunned down in Los Angeles late last month, Ingraham claimed on her show that he released a song called “‘FDT’ — F Donald Trump.’” Hussle is featured in the song, but the song, which references President Trump, was included in an album released by Compton rapper YG in 2016. Ingraham then proceeded to share a clip of the music video, which only included footage of YG, not Hussle.

“Now that’s a very creative refrain,” Ingraham said to her guest, Raymond Arroyo.

“So … the chorus, it goes on and on,” Ingraham said later. “Is that related to the lowest unemployment ever basically for African Americans?”

Outraged by the segment, the rapper community called for Ingraham’s ouster.

“So lemme tell you what’s going to happen here…@foxnews fires this disrespectful cunt by tomorrow, Monday morning or you will lose millions of viewers one person at a time until it drastically effects your ratings, views etc.” rapper The Game, a friend of Hussle, said in an Instagram post on Sunday.

“We are NO LONGER laying quiet while you continuously disrespect our brother, culture African Americans as a whole. I will use my platform & call on my peers to do the same,” The Game added.

R&B singer Tank shared a petition urging for Ingraham to be fired. “Let’s use our power!” he tweeted.

“This is Disgusting! You both are vile despicable, poor excuses for people. My expectations have already decreased so much for mankind in the past couple weeks that this hardly surprised me… especially from @foxnews,” T.I., another rapper, said in an Instagram post.

Fox News did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Washington Examiner.

Hussle, whose legal name is Ermias Davidson Ashgedom, was killed last month in a shooting outside his clothing store in Los Angeles.

Hussle was best known for his mixtapes and singles like “Feelin’ Myself.” His first studio album, “Victory Lap,” was released last year and was nominated for the Grammy for Best Rap Album.

He is survived by his partner, actress Lauren London, and their two children.
